A History of the Iranian Society for the Promotion of Persian Language and literature

The Association of Persian Language and Literature Professors was established in 1972 by twenty professors of Persian language and literature and was registered on 1335  --  1972 / october/14 and it was announced on the 8th of November in the official newspaper of the country. The goals of this association, which is the seventh article of its constitution. is as follows:

1-To create and consolidate scientific and research relations between the professors of Persian language and literature.

-2 An attempt to add the knowledge and information of the teachers of Persian language and literature and familiarize them with the latest educational methods.

3. Cooperation with institutions and officials of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the continuous research and evaluation of programs and textbooks in order to improve the teaching of Persian language and literature in universities and institutes of higher education in the country.

4. Establishment of scientific relations with higher education institutions of other countries and international scientific communities with the knowledge of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in order to further understand the progress made in the education and research of language and literature in other countries.

5. Publishing pamphlets and treatises, as well as publishing a regular journal containing the latest information on teaching methods and developments in the field of Persian language and literature.

6. Conducting lectures and academic and academic discussions seasonally or annually or extraordinary

7. Acknowledgments from the professors of Persian language and literature who have achieved outstanding scientific achievements, as well as the appreciation of those who have provided good services for the success of the Association.

8- Commemoration of the world's famous scholars and researchers who have served Persian language and literature.

9. To study issues that will contribute to the development of Persian language and literature and to suggest the results of the studies to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

10. Commenting on the issues of science and education that are being referred by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and other organizations of the country and the selection and introduction of experts in this regard.

The activities the association did during the six years was:

A: Formation of Scientific Meetings

In its 1352, 1353, 1354, 1355, 1356, 1356, 1356, 1356 and 1356 congress held its annual scientific congress for three consecutive days from 9 am to 5 pm, in which over 150 national members and at least ten members of the 50 foreign companies participated actively, and beyond these teachers Persian language and literature, and other enthusiasts, but did not vote. B: Monitor the programs and textbooks and qualifications of high school teachers and teachers in Persian

In all its resolutions, the Association emphasized that Persian language and literature programs for high schools and higher education institutions should be approved by the Association and cooperate in the formulation of textbooks and the selection of the texts of members of the Association, and most importantly, the Association for the Supervision of Teachers Persian colleges and high schools were not eligible to teach Persian language and literature, and the introduction of Persian teachers for various academic fields of universities was carried out only through the Association. This follow up and follow up was aimed at high schools and institutions of higher education in Persian language and literature as a major lesson and not to be regarded as less important and second degree subjects by students and students of Persian language.

A: Sending a Persian professor to foreign universities

The Association introduced qualified professors to foreign universities for teaching and the quality of correspondence and communication was in such a way that in most cases those universities paid the tuition fees and professors' fees, and the deployment of the professor according to the level of the university and the readiness of that professor toward Teaching different aspects of Iranian studies was carried out. The following professors can be mentioned from those who have been teaching Persian language and literature by association or with the approval of the Association outside of Iran:

D: Communication with foreign professors abroad

Over 50 fellow Iranian scholars and researchers from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Japan, Switzerland, Tanzania, Uganda, the United States, Poland, Czechoslovakia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Nigeria, Yugoslavia, Australia, Italy, France, Iraq, the Soviet Union, and the Netherlands joined the Association and the Association monitored their research lines and met their scientific needs, and the exchange of ideas and opinions, as well as the book and scientific materials, continued between the Association and those professors. The research records and scientific researches of foreign members in the association were made, which did not lead to repetitive work in research and research, and also they could be instructed by Iranian professors in their research.

E: Celebration of the authorities and elders

One of the goals of the association was to celebrate the elderly and professors of Persian language and literature, which is also appreciated by the efforts and efforts of the professors, and encourages students and students, and in this selection, the criterion of science and virtue, and the length of service have been. This celebration came as follows: first articles on language and literature, history and philosophy were collected and published by scientists in a collection, and then a memorial meeting was held in the university to be honored by the professors, as well as his colleagues memories of teaching and They taught their teachings and experiences, and then they presented it to the professor.

The Association celebrated this celebration with the following professors:

1- The late Professor Jalal-e-Din Homai, a member of the "Homaineh" collection from the Association's Publishing House, was presented to them.

2-year-old Seyyed Mohammad Taghi Modarres Razavi, who was presented to the "Razavi" Tutor's "Festival" from the Association's Publishing House.

3. Professor Ahmad Aram, a member of the "Arafat" collection from the Association's Publishing House.

4- The late Professor Mohammad Taghi Adib Neishabouri, whose life did not honor the Assembly, and the "Adib Neishabouri" series was published as a publication of the Institute of Islamic Studies at McGill University, Tehran Branch.

And: Publishing Forum

The association succeeded in its short period of time, offering ten volumes of scientific books to the world of science. The association tried to diversify its publication content, also publishing important Persian texts, as well as collections of articles on Persian language and literature on Iranian scholars, and the publication of this collection made it possible for the members of the Persian language and literature education Publish their scientific thoughts and opinions in a magazine. The collection of publications by the Association of Persian Language and Literature Professors under direct supervision of Mr. Mehdi Mohaghegh is:

1- Report of the first Scientific Council of the Association of Persian Language and Literature Professors, including lectures delivered by Dr. Mahdi Mohaqiq (Tehran 1974).

2- Gharalin, including the Qur'an and Hadith and Persian and Arabic tales and narratives of the anecdotes, by Dr. Amin Pasha Ehlali with the introduction of Dr. Mahdi Mohaqiq (Tabriz, 1354).

3- Homainameh, including the descriptions of the cultures and works of the late professor Jalal al-Din Homai and twenty-five scientific and literary articles delivered to them in Persian, Arabic, English and French, under the supervision of Dr. Mehdi Mohaqiq (Tehran, 1956).

4- Razavi Conductor's Festival, including the description of the status and works of the late Professor Seyyed Mohammad Taghi Modarres Razavi and thirty scientific and literary works submitted to him, under the supervision of Dr. Seyyed Ziaeddin Sajjadi, in collaboration with Dr. Isma'il Hakami and Mohammad Roshan (Tehran 1976).

The last scientific forum of the association and the termination of activity

The Association decided that its annual Academic Assembly would form itself at one of the universities of the Center. Therefore, the Sixth Scientific Council was scheduled to be held at Alzahra University in February 1977, which coincided with the Islamic Revolution. In 1358, the Association's correspondence with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education As to the holding of the Sixth Scientific Assembly and the invitation of internal and external professors and to assist publishing activities without result, the activities of the Association were virtually stopped.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education requested that the Association of Representatives be sent to the ministry to discuss the future of the Association in the letter dated 10.61.93 / 22/87 / However, in that letter, the absence of the referral indicated that the dissolution of the association was considered, the referral of the representative did not cause the wheel to be disbanded, and the dissolution of the association was also possible in accordance with the constitution with a vote of two-thirds of the general assembly. Therefore, the association has not been disbanded, but has suspended its activities.

Community renewal

After the Islamic Revolution, though the association was suspended due to lack of financial resources, it did not stand up to its activities, and in 1361, with the establishment of a congregation for the sake of Ahmad Salam and the publication of the Book of Ayatollahs and His Holiness, he continued his life. The Department of Scientific and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in response to the request of the Association for Community Rehabilitation and Activities, was considered by the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, which was inaugurated. This was followed by the Council for the Development of Persian Language and Literature. The Council, at its 61st meeting, dated 12/7/1378, emphasized the necessity of the formation of the Association and established that it would help the Association to initiate its preparations for the council secretariat, along with the issue at the meeting of the directors of the scientific groups of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature dated 22 / 8/1378, as well as at its 170th General Meeting dated 19/1/1378, approved the need for the revival of the Association, and subsequently the Association asked the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in December 1999 to rehabilitate and reopen the Assistance Society slow. This request was approved on 30/8/1383.

Therefore, the Association for the Promotion of Persian Language and Literature, which continues the activities of the Association of Persian Language and Literature Professors, pursues the same goals as it has been done since 1350.
